Guwahati: In Assam, 40 people were found coronavirus positive on Saturday, raising the total corona cases in the state to 2,16,251. With the death of four more people due to this disease, the number of people who lost their lives due to Covid-19 in the state has increased to 1,049. This information is given in the bulletin released on Saturday by the state government's National Health Mission.
The bulletin said that four people died due to the disease since Friday, taking the total death toll in the state to 1,049. The current death rate in the state is 0.48%. 1,347 Covid patients have died due to other causes in the state. It states that the coronavirus infection rate is 0.26%. There are 40 new cases after 15,429 investigations. On Friday, 82 more patients were recovered from Corona, after which the total number of people recovering from the disease in the state increased to 2,11,989. The rate of recovery of patients from Covid-19 in the state is currently 98%.
The Bulletin stated that out of a total of 2,16,251 Covid-19 cases, treatment of 3,213 patients is currently underway. So far, 60,14,286 samples have been screened for Covid-19 in the state, including both RT-PCR and rapid antigen tests.
