After a speeding dumper rammed into people in Golaghat district, a biker died on the scene and six pedestrians were critically injured. The accident occurred on National Highway 39 in the Golaghat district's Rangajan Dhulia town.
According to a police official, the deceased rider was identified as Sajjad Hussain, a Golaghat native. The dumper (AS-05C-5304) was travelling from Numligarh to Rangajan when it struck with the bike and pedestrians coming from the opposite way.
All the injured have been admitted to Golaghat Shwahid Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital. After the accident, the dumper's driver and handyman fled the scene. The police began an investigation and sent the biker's body to a hospital for a post-mortem examination.
