Assam govt issues new guideline on lockdown, strick action will be taken against violaters

Guwahati: In view of the increasing cases of corona in Assam, it has been decided to impose restrictions more strictly. The bans will come into effect from 5 am on May 13, which will remain in effect until further orders. During this period, all shops and restaurants will be allowed to be opened only by 1 pm, while only home delivery will be allowed after 1 pm. According to the order, weekly markets will also remain closed for the next 15 days.

Apart from Assam, the lockdown has also come into effect in Telangana today. The state has declared lockdown for the next 10 days from 10 am today. An important cabinet meeting led by telangana CM was held on Tuesday. It was decided in the meeting that telangana will have a lockdown for 10 days from May 12 in view of the increasing cases of corona. The lockdown will be in force from today till May 22. However, there will be a 4-hour concession from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. so that people can complete their external lying work.

On the other hand, 3,48,421 new cases of corona virus infection have been registered in the country. According to the Union Health Ministry, 4,205 people have lost their lives in the country in the last 24 hours. This is the biggest figure of death in a day. Tuesday also recovered from the infection, with 355,338 people recovering from the infection. With the advent of new cases, the total number of infection cases in the country has gone up to 2,33,40,938, with 1,93,82,642 recovering. The corona virus has killed 254,197 people in India so far.
