Guwahati: A case has been brought to light by a teacher telling a decree for students to come to school wearing a hijab. The incident is from a school in Karimganj, Assam, where a senior teacher AB Hannan, has told the students to come to school wearing a hijab. After issuing this order, the teacher also took a selfie with the girl students and also posted it on Facebook.

The teacher also gave captions in Bengali and English, sharing the selfie he had taken with the students of East Point Public School in Kanishahel, Karimganj, on Facebook. In which he has written that 'To save my girl students from evil eyes, it has been made mandatory for them to wear Hijab'. However, the school administration has categorically denied the teacher's involvement in this act.

After the teacher posted the photo on Facebook, it immediately went viral, which has been supported by many people, while many users have also protested. Regarding this incident, the school administration says that it depends on the wishes of the students, whether they want to wear hijab or not. The school management has nothing to do with this. However, later, the teacher, who made the hijab mandatory, deleted his post and wrote that if this hurts anyone, then I apologize for that.
