On Monday night, another person accused of drug smuggling was injured in police shooting in Guwahati's Gorchuk area. Taser Ali, the injured guy, is a suspect in a drug trafficking and peddling case. On Monday, he was detained on suspicion of being involved in an international drug-smuggling ring.

According to the police, Taser was involved in illegal contraband activities and was conducting illegal trades with his wife. He was shot by police after reportedly attempting to flee from officers during a site visit when he was supposed to show the officers whereabouts of other people involved in the trade.

While attempting to flee from the cops, Taser was shot in the leg. He was brought to the GMCH for treatment right away. His wife has been placed on the police's radar and might be arrested at any time.

It should be noted that Taser was apprehended for his role in a smuggling ring that was transporting illegal drugs from Manipur to Bangladesh.
