Assam scientist Dr. Faizuddin Ahmed in Stanford’s list of world’s top 2% scientists

Assam scientist Dr. Faizuddin Ahmed has been able to enlist his name in Stanford’s list of top 2% scientists in the world. The 35-year-old scientist is among 60 other Indian Physicists, who have featured in the list of top 2% of the world scientists.

Dr. Faizuddin Ahmed belongs to  Dhubri district in lower Assam.  With this, the scientist has brought laurels to Dhubri district as well as the state. Ahmed said that the prestigious list is prepared every year by a team of scientists in the US’ Stanford University.

Ahmed, is a resident of Balajan, a remote village of Dhubri district and is currently serving as a teacher in a private school at Gauripur town of the district. He did his school education in Balajan High School and completed his graduation with honours in Physics from Bhola Nath College of Dhubri in 2006. After postgraduation, he earned PhD in Theoretical Physics from Gauhati University in 2016. After completing PhD, Ahmed returned to Dhubri and started a teaching job in a private school. But, despite financial constraints, he has continuously been carrying out his research works in Theoretical Physics (General Theory of Relativity and Quantum Mechanics) and doing his teaching job simultaneously.
