ASSAM: Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) has launched its online bus e-ticketing service, according to a press statement issued on Saturday, read. The Assam State Transport Corporation  has launched  its online bus e-ticketing facility.

Assam State Transport Corp Managing Director Rahul Chandra Das said the service was initially offered in the districts of Kamrup (Metropolitan) and Sonitpur in partnership with Assam Electronics Development Corporation Limited (AMTRON).

The programme was created for a test operation from Guwahati to Tezpur through Nagaon, with further routes to follow.

Passengers can utilise the e-ticketing service on ASTC buses for both local and inter-district travel once the software is updated to encompass the entire state.

Tickets will be accessible on the website www.astcbus.com, and passengers can contact the assistance desk or grievance redressal cell at astc2009@gmail.com.

A 24-hour toll-free support desk at 1800-345-3986 is also available to answer any passenger complaints, according to the announcement.

Assam State Transport Corporation or ASTC is a state government-owned road transport corporation of Assam, India which provides bus services within Assam and adjoining states. Assam State Transport was started as a state government department with four buses to run between Guwahati and Nagaon.
