In Assam's Tinsukia district, security forces detained an active cadre and an over ground worker (OGW) of the ULFA-I.The OGW and the ULFA-I cadre were detained at Tinkopani reserve forest.

"In Tinkopani Reserve Forest, Tinsukia District, Assam, Security Forces captured one active cadre and one OGW of ULFA-I in a combined operation with Assam Police," an official statement said. A pistol, ammunition, and other items were also discovered in the possession of the captured couple by security forces.

Meanwhile, the Tinsukia police have received the arrested ULFA-I cadre and the OGW. The statement added, "The arrested cadre and the OGW, as well as recovered items, were handed over to Assam Police, Tinsukia District, Assam for further investigation."
