Agartala: By-elections have been held in four assembly seats in Tripura and the list includes Agartala, Jubrajnagar, Surma and town Bardowali. On the other hand, the remaining states where by-elections were held include the Rajinder Nagar assembly seat in the capital Delhi, the Mandar assembly seat in the Ranchi district in Jharkhand and the Atmakuru assembly seat in Andhra Pradesh. Not only, apart from this, by-elections have also been held in Rampur and Azamgarh Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh and Sangrur Lok Sabha seats in Punjab.

Let me tell you all that there are four seats in Tripura where voting has been held in the by-election. These seats include Agartala, Jubrajnagar, Soorma and Town Bardowali. Saha, who is trying his luck from Town Bardowali here, needs to win this election to remain the Chief Minister. In fact, he is a Rajya Sabha member who took the oath of office and secrecy last month as the chief minister of the state after Biplab Deb suddenly resigned. Not only this, the highest number of 76.62 per cent of voters have exercised their franchise. At the same time, let us tell you that the results of the by-elections to three Lok Sabha seats and 7 assembly seats will be announced today.

In fact, after the voting was held on June 23 in Delhi and five other states, it is now the turn of the counting votes. It is being said that the political future of Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha and many others are at stake in this by-election and the counting of votes has started at 8 am. First of all, the votes of the ballot box will be counted. After this, the votes of the EVMs will be counted. Elaborate security arrangements have been made for the counting of votes.
