Counting of votes for the assembly elections in five states is being held today. Yes, and the counting of votes has started at 8 this morning. In such a situation, all the parties were eagerly waiting for the counting of votes for the assembly elections, however, the results of the exit polls have increased the pulse of the parties. In fact, according to the exit polls, the BJP is making a comeback to the government in Uttarakhand, UP and Manipur, while in Goa, there is a fork fight in which the Congress is ahead of the BJP. On the other hand, following the controversy over EVMs in Uttar Pradesh, the Commission announced the removal of three officials, including the nodal officer related to EVMs in Varanasi.

The commission's move came after a huge controversy triggered by the Samajwadi Party's (SP) allegation that electronic voting machines (EVMs) were being transferred in an unauthorised manner. With this, the Commission has deployed more than 50,000 officials for counting of votes in about 1,200 halls in five states and counting is taking place with corona protocol from 8 am amid tight security.
