BHOPAL: President Ram Nath Kovind said on Saturday that it is "unfortunate" to associate Ayurveda and Yoga with a specific faith or group. President Ram Nath Kovind made the remark while speaking at the Arogya Manthan programme "One-Nation One Health System," which was organised by 'Arogya Bharti.'

The President praised Arogya Bharti for working in a systematic and holistic manner to make citizens healthier. He applauded the institution for increasing its national efforts.

"All families will be healthy if each individual is healthy." "If each family is healthy, then every village and city will be healthy, and the country as a whole would be healthy," said Kovind.

He said, the government's National Health Policy, which was introduced in 2017, intends to make quality health services affordable to all. "It is also the goal of this strategy to provide comprehensive and holistic health facilities for all," he added.

In order to attain these goals, all segments of society, particularly informed individuals, as well as government and private sector institutions, must work together, he added.

Meanwhile, the president thanked experts from all across the world for their contributions to the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. "The world has been afflicted by the extraordinary Covid-19 pandemic for the past two and a half years. Doctors and scientists from all across the world contributed to the saving of lives via their research and efforts. "I would want to thank scientists," the President remarked.
