At forex market today,rupee appreciated by 4 paise to 66.87 against the dollar on increased selling of the American currency by banks and exporters.
According to the forex dealers said, “Besides, strong foreign fund inflows, weakness of the dollar against other currencies overseas, and a higher opening in the domestic equity market boosted the rupee value against the dollar”
The rupee had improved by 8 paise to close at 66.91 on Thursday’s trade.
However ,the benchmark BSE Sensex rally by 231.03 points, or 0.83 %, to 27,945.40 in early trade.
