Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal MLA from Phulbani in Odisha, Angda Kanhar is appearing for the 10th examination after 40 years. He is appearing for his examination at Rujangi High School in Pitabari village in Kandhamal district. Angda Kanhar, a 58-year-old MLA, said, "Some panchayat members and my driver encouraged me to sit for the exam. I don't know if I will be able to pass the exam or not. But I have given my exam to get the 10th class certificate. ''

The MLA said, "I had quit my studies in 1978 due to family reasons. After becoming a member of the Legislative Assembly in 2019, I took the 8th class examination. Archana Basa, superintendent of the examination centre in Kanhar, said that the MLA was not treated much. Basa said, "He (MLA) took the exam along with other students. They were also thoroughly examined like other students before being allowed to sit for the exam. '' 

Let us tell you, a total of 5.8 lakh students are appearing for the 10th class state board examination this year at 3,540 centres in Odisha. The exams will be over by May 10. More than 35,000 teachers have been engaged for monitoring the examination. At the same time, special squads have been deployed on behalf of the board to prevent malpractices.
