Bangalore: Hundreds of people took to the streets and protested against the district judge in Raichur, Karnataka. The protesters alleged that before hoisting the national flag during Republic Day in the district court complex of Raichur, the district and sessions judge removed the photograph of BhimRao Ambedkar kept here. There was a dispute about it.

This was followed by a massive protest by lawyers, students, Congress and JD(S) leaders in Raichur on January 27. Protesters blocked the road for about five hours.
