The health of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee is improving and he can get a discharge soon from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Sources of AIIMS gave this information. The veteran BJP leader is currently in the ICU of the Cardio-Thoracic Center of AIIMS and has been recovering from his health for the past ten days. 

An official of AIIMS said that they are constantly improving. A team of doctors is keeping an eye on their health. Vajpayee (93) was admitted to the hospital on June 11 after kidney infections, chest tightness, and urinary problems. A team of doctors conducted an immediate assessment of their condition and gave them necessary antibiotics. 

Vajpayee's only kidney is still working. He had a cerebral palsy in 2009, which weakened his cognitive ability. Later, they became victims of memory loss. In the last 11 days, many people visited to know about the health of Prime Minister which included Narendra Modi, BJP President Amit Shah, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, HD Deve Gowda, Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and Chief Minister and Union Minister of many states. 

Vajpayee was elected prime minister three times between 1996 and 1999. He was the Prime Minister from 1999 to 2004. He was the first non-Congress leader to remain prime minister for more than five years. Due to health deterioration, he gradually got away from public life.
