Bengal elections: BJP candidate Locket Chatterjee's car attacked, TMC charged

Kolkata: Violence has taken place in West Bengal from several parts like Behar and South 24 Parganas during the fourth phase of polling. Somewhere the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker has been assaulted. So there have been attacks on TMC activists somewhere. There are attacks on up to homes. Both BJP and TMC leaders are accusing each other of such incidents of violence.

BJP candidate Locket Chatterjee's car from Chungura's seat in Hooghly has been attacked by locals. Locket suffered a hand injury. The attack has been accused of TMC activists. Media trains covering Bengal elections were also pelted with stones. The attack shattered the glass of many vehicles. Anxiety has been widespread around booth number 66 of Chunchura since the incident.

On the attack on herself in booth no.66, BJP candidate Locket Chatterjee said, 'Broke the car, tried to kill me. I have complained to the Election Commission. The police have done nothing, the police know everything.' BJP leader Babul Supriyo claimed to have caught a fake voter in the Brahmapur area of Tollyganj. Thereafter, clashes were also recorded between TMC and BJP supporters in the area.
