The Jharkhand government's attempt to bring 60 workers of the state by air from Leh has raised hopes of other workers of the state stranded there. The state government has made the first attempt to take these workers from the Himalayan region. After two months of trouble and uncertainty, a batch of 60 workers associated with the Border Road Organization project reached Delhi on Friday afternoon. Reach Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi. The Chief Minister of Jharkhand reached the airport during this time and welcomed these migrants.

Apart from this, after the domestic flight started, there is a lot of story of sending workers by institutions and employers, but this is the first case of a state government to take workers on their plane to their home. All these migrant labourers are from Dumka district of Jharkhand and were stranded in Gorgodoh village of Batalik in Kargil district due to the lockdown.

Chief Minister of Jharkhand Hemant Soren formed a small team to bring 60 workers and after completing all the formalities, got them back. About 8 lakh rupees have been spent on bringing the workers. Out of about seven and a half lakh registered labourers of Jharkhand, about three and a half lakh labourers trapped in other states have reached their homes. A close aide of the Chief Minister said that two flights have been arranged to bring 320 workers from Andaman as well.
