If you too are negligent in giving your Aadhaar card somewhere or sharing a copy of it in a careless manner. So you should pay heed to this warning of the government. Regarding the Aadhaar card, the government in its new guidelines has asked people to share only masked Aadhaar. The government says that people should not give a photocopy of their Aadhaar card to an institution, as it may be misused. Instead you can use a masked base.

Non-licensed can't keep your base:
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in its notice has also clarified that non-licensed private entities cannot collect your Aadhaar, nor can they keep it close to them. This includes unlicensed hotels and cinema halls. Only such private institutions can collect a copy of your Aadhaar card which has obtained a user license for Aadhaar from the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). The government has warned people not to download copies of their Aadhaar from public computers or cyber cafes. If they do this, make sure that many of the downloaded copies of Aadhaar have been permanently destroyed. The Aadhaar card is issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India. It is a 12-digit numeric code called the base number. It is basically used to ensure your biometric identity. Aadhaar number is mandatory to avail of many welfare schemes of the Government of India. At the same time, digital payment through it can also be Aadhaar Pay. If you want to download Masked Aadhaar, you can opt for 'Do You Want a Masked Aadhaar' by visiting UIDAI's portal. Masked Aadhaar can be downloaded by filling in the required details here. Apart from this, there is also an option of Digi Locker and mAadhaar.
