Mumbai: Aurangabad Municipal Corporation elections are going to be held soon in Maharashtra. Meanwhile, politics has started in the state again about Aurangabad's name. Shiv Sena has demanded that Aurangabad be renamed Sambhaji Nagar. Congress, the member of Mahavikas Aghadi government, has protested on this matter. On the other hand, senior Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam made it clear that, if the name was changed, the government would be in danger.

Recently, Congress leader Nirupam has accused the Shiv Sena of running its agenda. On Saturday, he tweeted and said, "Shiv Sena's renaming of Aurangabad is its old agenda. But the government has three parties, it should not be forgotten. Coalition governments run under the Common Minimum Program. Not from anyone's personal agenda. The program is made to work, not to change the name." Nirupam has also warned Shiv Sena.

He also wrote, 'Aurangzeb's personality has been controversial. Congress does not have to agree with every aspect of it. Sambhaji was a great warrior. His self-immolation is praiseworthy. There are no differences on this. But while running the government, Shiv Sena will bring great men in the middle, then it will surely eat. Decide for yourself. ' The Bharatiya Janata Party, which is playing the role of opposition in the state, has targeted the MVA government.

Recently, BJP spokesperson Ram Kadam also said, 'Shiv Sena will do this drama till the elections. If the Shiv Sena was in power with the BJP, it did not send a proposal to change the name of Aurangabad. Now he remembered it during the election. Apart from him, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena leader Bala Nandgaonkar said, 'The Shiv Sena had assured Cabinet Minister Abdul Sattar that Aurangabad would not be named Sambhajinagar. He asked, to whom is Shiv Sena Abdul Sattar or the public lying.'
