Australia's 35-member business delegation, who has come to India, has said that he is keen to have long-term partnerships with various state governments and private companies in different areas. It includes infrastructure and water sector.
The delegation is also exploring possibilities in the Smart City Project here. The delegation held a meeting with State Urban Development Department, Chief Secretary Sumit Malik and private sector companies talked on Friday about the possibility of business opportunities in smart city projects in Maharashtra.
Australian business commissioner Grayson Perry said here, "We have come here to build a relationship with the state government. We will also talk to private sector companies related to smart city projects. We will see how Australia can cooperate smart-city projects here. In this type of various projects, we are looking for possibilities for Australian companies. "
He said that Australian companies have extensive experience in infrastructure, smart city projects, water and waste management in other areas. "We can help Indian companies in these areas in various programs."
The Australian delegation is visiting New Delhi, Bhopal and Mumbai here. He has also met with the Commission Commission officials. Heads of smart city projects in the states are also talking to the heads of local bodies and private sector companies.
