Bisbane: Australia strengthened their position on the second day of the first Test match against Pakistan at the Gabba ground with the help of superb innings from openers David Warner (151 not out), Joey Burns (97) and Marnus Labuschange (55 not out) Have done. The hosts have scored 312 for one wicket by the end of the day's play. Pakistan's first innings ended at 240 runs. In this sense, the hosts have got a lead of 72 runs.

Warner, who scored the 22nd century of his career, hit 10 fours, facing 265 balls, while Marnus hit six fours in 94 balls. There has been a 90-run partnership between Warner and Marnes so far. Australia have lost their only wicket in the form of Burns. Burns was bowled by Yasir Shah for a total of 222 runs. Burns faced 166 balls and hit 10 fours.

Warner, who got a personal score of 56 off a 16-year-old young bowler Nasim Shah playing his debut match, played a brilliant innings, leaving behind the failure of the Ashes series. In this innings, Burns supported him well. This is the fourth partnership between the two.
