In an upcoming interview with Channel 10, Gunn discussed the criticism she faced after her performance. Despite losing all three of her match-ups, she emphasized her commitment and extensive preparation for the Games.

Gunn, a 37-year-old Sydney university lecturer, was asked about her standing as a top breakdancer in Australia. She responded by pointing to her past achievements, despite the backlash.

The negative feedback included worldwide parodies and sharp critiques, with some commentators questioning her qualification for the Olympics. An online petition demanding a public apology from Gunn has since been removed.

In her interview, Gunn expressed regret over the adverse reactions. "It was really sad to hear the negative feedback," she said. "I'm sorry for the backlash that the community has experienced, but I can't control how people react."

Gunn also shared her distress over the media attention she received in Paris, describing it as overwhelming and panic-inducing.

Earlier, Gunn had addressed the criticism, stating that she had put in significant effort and enjoyed her time at the Olympics despite the negative responses.
