Melbourne: Australian Test captain Tim Paine has made a special appeal to the visitors ahead of the fourth and final Test against India in Brisbane from Friday. Paine has urged the audience to respect the player and the game by forgetting the words. Tell us that there was a controversy over racial remarks during the third Test played at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) between the two teams, as some spectators in the stadium made derogatory remarks on Indian sportspersons, especially Mohammad Siraj and Jaspreet Bumrah, which were strongly criticized around.
About five-six spectators were thrown out of the stadium after team India complained about it. Cricket Australia (CA) had also officially apologized for the incident and started investigating the case. "The abuse of anyone in the case of the audience is not correct," Paine said at a press briefing on the eve of the match.
Team Paine appealed to the audience to quit misbehaving with the players. We want people to come together in GABA and enjoy cricket and support teams from Australia and India. If you want, support the umpires also. But I suggest that the spectators should leave the abuse at the gate of the field and respect the game as well as the players.
