New Delhi: A new record has been set in T20 International cricket, which we can also call a world record, as an 8th-ranked batsman scored a stormy century in the second match of the three-match T20 International series between Belgium and Austria. This is the first time in T20 cricket that an 8th-ranked batsman has hit a century.

Belgium batsman Saber Zakhil has set a new record with a smoky century. At a time when Belgium was 8 for just 14 in 5.5 overs, Saber Zakhil came in to bat and took the innings forward with the number 9 batsman. Saber Zakhil scored the first century of his T20 International career off just 47 balls. Saber Zakhil hit 5 fours and 8 sixes in his century innings. His strike rate during this period was 212.76. Moreover, this is the first time in T20 International cricket that a 122-run partnership has been put on for the 9th wicket and nearly 80 percent of the runs in the partnership came off The Bat of Saber Zakhil and Saqlen Ali, who came in to bat after him, scored 26 off 39 balls.

Austria was 37 for 3 in 6.1 overs and then the result of the match was based on Duckworth Lewis's rule due to rain as the team played 5 overs. That is why Belgium won by 12 runs. Now, T20 cricket has been recognized by the International Cricket Council (ICC) that any two countries can play international cricket together, but the rules will be ICC.
