New Delhi: An auto driver was shot dead by miscreants in the raj park area of the country's capital Delhi on Tuesday night. This incident is of Mangolpuri industrial area. The miscreants dumped the body of the auto driver on the roadside and fled. Police have registered a case of murder against unidentified miscreants and started an investigation.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Parwinder Singh informed about the incident and said that the body of a man was found lying on the roadside while patrolling in Phase-I, Mangolpuri industrial area of Rajpark police station area around 8.30 pm on Tuesday. Senior police officials, as well as crime branch and forensic department teams, also rushed to the spot for investigation.
According to DCP, bullet marks were found in the chest of the deceased. Police have also found a TSR auto of Delhi number parked at the spot of the incident and the deceased was also in the auto driver's uniform. Cash, purses and mobile phones have been recovered from the pocket of the deceased. With the help of these, the family of the deceased was contacted. The deceased has been identified as Rajkumar. Police are currently investigating the case
