Recently there were several stories from Uber regarding the safety of passengers, after which Uber is going to introduce three new features nationwide within two weeks keeping in mind the safety of customers. These safety features will include pin verification, ride check, and audio recording. These features have also been started in Delhi, Kolkata and other cities. The special thing is that Uber's rival company Ola is already offering some of these features.

If we talk about these features, then customers who book Uber ride under PIN verification will get a four-digit PIN, while the driver will have to tell this number when the ride starts. The driver will also be able to manually insert it into the app, while the pin will automatically reach the driver when it reaches the car rider through ultrasound waves. Users can activate this feature by going to the settings of the Uber app.
RideCheck will prevent any disturbances during the ride. As your cab stops for a long time during the ride, the information will reach the Uber Customer Care quickly. This feature will prove especially beneficial for women. If Uber finds that there is something wrong, it will find out through the ride check and send push notifications to both the driver and the rider.

At the same time in audio recording, both driver and rider will be able to do an audio recording of each other during the ride. This audio will be encrypted which can only be deleted or shared with Uber. Uber agents will solve the case after listening to it. Drivers often misbehave with riders, so this feature will prove beneficial.
