Tata Motors has recently unveiled this premium hatchback. The Tata Altroz is one of the most awaited cars in the Indian market. Now the launch date of this car has come out. In an interview to our colleague Times Drive, CEO and MD of Tata Motors has said that Ultraz will launch in India on 22 January. This new Tata car will compete in the market with popular premium hatchbacks like Maruti Baleno and Hyundai Elite i20.
Tata Motors has given a number of great features in Ultras. These include features such as wearable keys for passive entry, projector headlamps, LED DRLs, auto headlamps, front and rear fog lamps, and follow me home function. Ultras engines are BS6 compliant. Its petrol engine is 1.2-liter. This 1199 cc engine generates 85 bhp power at 6000 rpm and 113 Nm torque at 3300 rpm. The diesel version has a 1.5-liter turbo engine. It is a 1497 cc motor that generates 89 bhp power at 4000 rpm and 200 Nm peak torque at 1250-3000 rpm. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard with both engines. Initially, the car does not have an automatic gearbox option. Shortly after launching, the company will introduce the automatic gearbox option in Ultras. For the safety this new car will have dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, seatbelt reminder, speed sensing auto door lock, engine immobilizer, ISOFIX child seat mounts. And cornering fog lamps.
