Kia Seltos has received tremendous response in the Indian market. Now Kia Motors is preparing to bring an electric version of this SUV. Reports have claimed that the Kia Seltos EV may be introduced next year. The Seltos EV's electric motor and its battery are expected to be taken from Hyundai Kona Electric. The electric Celtos is codenamed SP2 EV.

Along with this, Hyundai Kona Electric has a 39.2 kWh battery pack. The electric motor supplied with this battery pack generates 134 bhp power and 395 Nm torque. Apart from this, Kona Electric also comes with 64 kWh battery pack. The electric motor of this variant generates 201 bhp of power and 395 Nm. Celtos Electric's range is expected to be 400 km once full charged.

Talking about the features, the Celtos 3 is available in the engine option, which has two petrol and one diesel engine. There is a 1.5-liter petrol engine with 113hp power. It has 6-speed manual and CVT gearbox options. The second is a 1.4-liter turbocharged petrol engine with 138hp power. It has 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission options. The Celtos diesel engine is 1.5-liter, which generates 113hp power and 250Nm torque. It has 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options. Its starting price is Rs 9.69 lakh.
