Kia Motors has so far launched only one car in India. This car of the company has received excellent response. Now the company is preparing to introduce a new compact SUV in India. The company will present the Kia Sonet SUV at the Auto Expo. Like the Kia Celtos, this sub-compact SUV is also expected to get many comfort and latest connectivity features. Kia UVO connectivity technology will be available in this new SUV smaller than 4-meter Kia. Apart from this, the SUV can get features such as 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, climate control with sunroof and remote operation.

Apart from this, it is worth noting that Kia Sonnet's platform, engine and many components are expected to be taken from Hyundai Venue. It can be given all three engines with a Venue, which will be BS6 compliant. The Venue features a 1.2-liter petrol engine, which generates 82bhp power and 114Nm peak torque. The other is a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine, which generates 118bhp of power and 172Nm of torque. The diesel engine is 1.4-liter, which generates 89bhp power and 220Nm torque. Now this car is seen during testing. The model seen during testing is the lower feature variant of the car. The car's dimensions will be similar to those of the Kia Celtos. The car will be seen at the Auto Expo in February.

The gearbox of this new SUV from Kia is also expected to be taken from Venue itself. It includes a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. A 6-speed automatic transmission can also be optioned with the diesel engine of the new SUV.
