Yamaha Motor India has recalled two of its popular bikes. The company has recalled 7,757 units of both these bikes. These bikes are - Yamaha FZ FI and Yamaha FZ-S FI. The company said that these bikes were recalled due to faults in the rear-side reflectors. The 7,757 bikes recalled have been manufactured since October 2019. Yamaha will fix them for free. The company has said that it will contact the customers of the bikes with this defect. Keeping in mind the safety standards, the company has recalled these bikes. It has nothing to do with the performance of bikes.

It is to be noted that according to Yamaha, there is a problem in fitting the rear side reflectors of the 7,757 bikes recalled. The company has said that customers can have the reflector installed at any of Yamaha's authorized dealerships. No money will be charged from customers for this. The company will fix this reflector fault for free. These bikes of Yamaha have a 149 cc engine, which gives a maximum power of 12.4 PS at 7,250 rpm and 13.6 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. Both the bikes have single channel ABS in the front wheel, as well as front and rear rear disc brakes. Both the boxes have not seen any major changes in the BS6 model apart from the engine.

The Yamaha FZ FI is available in two colors - Metallic Black and Racing Blue. Its ex-showroom price is Rs 99,200. The Yamaha FZ-S FI is available in five colors - Dark Knight, Metallic Red, Matte Black, Dark Matte Blue and Gray and Cyan Blue. Its ex-showroom price is Rs 1,01,200.
