The thing to note is that the Chetak scooter has a 4kW electric motor and IP67-rated lithium-ion battery pack. The scooter has two riding modes (Eco and Sport). The company claims that this electric scooter will run 95 km in Eco mode and 85 km in Sport mode once full charged. The company has said that this range of scooters has been achieved by driving on the roads in Pune (Real World Testing). This means that the ARAI certified range will be higher than this. Bajaj will initially sell this scooter from the KTM showroom. The company will also build new dealerships for its sale. In the market, the Bajaj Chetak scooter will compete with scooters like Okinawa i-Praze and Athar 450.
