In his statement, Maruti Suzuki India President RC Bhargava told the agency that "the presence of components in the market is the biggest need to start the factory again in the country. Right now the company management is working on it. I think this will take a few days to fix. Maruti Suzuki India's Manesar (Haryana) plant is outside the Municipal Corporation limits and the Gurgaon plant is within the city limits. The company has a capacity to manufacture 15.5 lakh units of 2 plants per year in Haryana." According to the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the work at the plant was temporarily stopped from March 22. With effect from April 20, permission has been given to start work in rural, government, private industry and industrial establishments which are outside the municipal corporations and municipalities.
