Indian shooter Avani Lekhara is celebrating her birthday today. Not only this, Avani Lekhara has won many medals for India. Indian Paralympic shooter Avani Lekhara is a resident of Jaipur. Her father's name is Praveen Lekhara and her mother's name is Shweta Lekhara. Avani's father Praveen Lakhera works in Gagangar in the post of RAS in the revenue department.  

In 2012, Avani met with an accident. When Avani was 11 years old, she was with her father while going from Jaipur to Dholpur. Avani's father recovered from this accident but Avani's spine was broken. Even after being in a wheelchair at a young age, she did not give up. Avani was inspired by her father to go into sports. She first tried her hand at both shooting and archery. She found shooting amazing. She was also inspired by reading a book by the 2008 Beijing Olympics gold-melted winner Abhinav Bindra.

She started shooting in 2015 at Jagat Pura sports complex in Jaipur. A law student, Avani made her India debut at the 2017 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates. Avani is the third Indian woman athlete to win a medal at the Paralympic Games.
