Marvel’s superhero Avengers: Endgame has has been breaking records at the box-office. In India, the film has made Rs 215 crore in the first five days of its release. Just to give you perspective, Avengers: Infinity War, which is the highest-grossing Hollywood film in India, made Rs 227 crore at the Indian BO during its lifetime run. Now, the film has already surpassed the box-office collections of the Brie Larson-starrer Captain Marvel to become the highest-grossing film of 2019.
Captain Marvel has so far made $1.11 billion at the worldwide box-office while Avengers: Endgame has now made $1.48 billion at the worldwide box-office so far. Even at the domestic box-office in North America, Endgame has made $427 million, which is significantly more than Captain Marvel’s current domestic collection of $415 million.
Endgame had the biggest opening weekend collections at the box-office ever in North America, making $350 million in the first 3 days of its release. The previous best was Avengers: Infinity War which had made close to $250 million at the box-office on its opening weekend.
The Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth and Scarlett Johansson film also became the highest-grossing and fastest in India to reach the Rs 100 crore mark, just in two days of its release.
