New Delhi: Due to the outbreak of Corona epidemic, international flights have been stopped for the last several days amid the lockdown implemented across the country. After this, Union Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has given a statement to restore international flights. He said that what international traffic has suggested, we are doing only that.
Hardeep Singh Puri said that when we resume international flights, we will have to depend on other countries to get the flight at the same time. He further said that the decision to resume international flights will depend on the decision of the other countries to start flights. Hardeep Puri said that we do not have any option to start international flights right now. Earlier he had said that if the entire aviation ecosystem and the state governments are ready, India can decide in July to start operating international flights. He had said that the decision to restore international services will be taken by the central government based on the domestic situation.
Along with this, he also gave a statement about the safe return of Indians trapped in other countries due to Coronavirus. Under the Vande Bharat Mission, he has described the return of Indians to India as a success for the country. He said that about 2 lakh 75 thousand people have been brought back to their homeland under this mission.
