Avril Lavigne, a celebrated singer and songwriter, is about to get the 2,731st star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The event will take place on August 31, 2022, at 11:30 AM. The superstar singer will receive an award at 6212 Hollywood Boulevard in the recording category. The ceremony will feature a speech from Machine Gun Kelly and be broadcast live only on "walkoffame.com."

One of the celebrities that are most deserving of a star on the Walk of Fame is Avril Lavigne. The Hollywood Walk of Fame's producer, Ana Martinez, said the event's planners are overjoyed to be honouring Lavigne. This 37-year-old singer, who has a long list of hits including "Complicated" and "Girlfriend," will become the 2,731st famous person to receive a star.

Alongside Lavigne, other Canadian music artists that received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame include iconic Bryan Adams, Céline Dion, Michael Bublé, and Paul Anka among many others. 

In the meantime, Lavigne provided an update on the development of her newest film project, which is based on "Sk8er Boi." She mentioned that she is working on the plot with the writer and the director of her next project, "Sk8er Boi," which has been her biggest hit for 20 years.

By consistently releasing top-charting songs in the music and cultural industries, Avril Ramona Lavigne has broken records. It makes perfect sense that she is being given this award. Eight GRAMMY Awards have been won by Avril Lavigne songs.
