Ayodhya: The mosque in Ayodhya will not have domes and minarets. The shape of the mosque being built in Dhanipur might be in the square shape. This mosque may be built under traditional Islamic architecture culture. According to sources, the mosque may be built on the lines of Kaaba Sharif of Mecca, the holiest place of Muslims.

The Kaaba Sharif of Mecca is in a square shape. The Kaaba Sharif built in Mecca has neither a dome nor a minaret. The mosque's trust has given a full exemption to Delhi architect S M Akhtar for designing the mosque in Ayodhya. Architect SM Akhtar is the Faculty of Jamia Millia Islamia Architect School in Delhi.
