NEW DELHI: The Ayodhya Ram temple and the Babri Masjid case are currently being heard in the Supreme Court, while the descendants of Mughal aggressor Babur have said, "We will keep the first brick of the Ram temple." Jacob Habibuddin Tusi, descendant of the last Mughal ruler Bahadur Shah Zafar in India, has expressed his desire to build a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya and said that if this happens, our family will keep its first brick and donate a gold stone for the foundation of the temple.

Tusi said that in 1529, the first Mughal ruler Babur built the Babri Masjid to give his soldiers a place to pray. This place was meant only for soldiers and not for anyone. I don't want to get into the debate as to what was here before the mosque, but if the Hindus believe in that place as the birthplace of Lord Rama, I will respect their spirit as a true Muslim.

The Supreme Court had earlier set up an arbitration panel to resolve the Ayodha Ram temple and the Babri Masjid dispute. However, due to the non-resolved case, the court has now decided to hear the case every day and give its verdict.
