New Delhi: The Ayodhya case hearing in the Supreme Court will enter the final stage today. Earlier in the last hearing, arguments were made on the appeal of the Sunni Waqf Board. Earlier, the Hindu side quoted Skanda Purana as saying that salvation is attained through the philosophy of Rama's birthplace. Ramlala's lawyer PS Narasimha had said that the Skanda Purana was long before Babur came to India and built a mosque there which proves the importance of that place.

On the last hearing, advocate Rajiv Dhawan, appearing for the Muslim side, had said in the apex court that he would complete his arguments on October 14. At present, the Supreme Court has determined that on 15 and 16 October, Hindu parties will be given an opportunity to retaliate after the Muslim side's argument ends today. The top court in the case had laid down a new dead line, stating that by October 17, the three parties would have to complete their arguments. Earlier, the deadline of 18 October was fixed by the apex court.

Meanwhile, Section-144 has been imposed in Ayodhya. Ayodhya DM Anuj Kumar Jha said t"Decision to impose Section-144 was also taken in consideration of upcoming festivals." A decision is expected in this case by 17 November. On this day, CJI Ranjan Gogoi of the Supreme Court is also retiring.
