UTTAR PRADESH: Ahead of the anticipated Kartik Mela and Parikrama, the Uttar Pradesh Traffic Police has charted out inter-state traffic diversion routes in Ayodhya. This strategic planning aims to manage the surge in pilgrims and devotees flocking to the city for the Kosi Parikrama and Kartik Purnima Snan Mela.

The traffic police have announced a diversion route for Kosi Parikrama in the Basti district, diverting traffic from Ayodhya to Basti. This diversion will be in effect from November 20, 10 pm, until November 22, 1 pm. The influx of devotees annually prompts the Uttar Pradesh traffic police to allocate diversion routes and designate specific parking areas to prevent overcrowding.

As outlined in the advisory, several routes will impose restrictions on vehicle entry. Devkali Bypass towards Darshan Nagar, Agrasen intersection towards Ramnagar Tiraha, Maqbara Tiraha towards Ramnagar Tiraha, and several other routes will have limited vehicle access to streamline traffic flow during the festivities.

Moreover, specific parking zones have been earmarked by the traffic authorities for the convenience of devotees.

To ensure the safety and well-being of the devotees, the State Government has taken proactive steps, including healthcare provisions. The Health Department has secured bed reservations in three major hospitals within the district. Each of these hospitals—Medical College, District Hospital (with 20 beds each), and Shri Ram Hospital (with 10 beds)—is prepared to offer medical assistance to those attending the Kartik Mela.

In addition to these hospital arrangements, temporary medical camps will be established at 15 strategic locations across Ayodhya. These locations, including Control Room, Hanuman Garhi, Railway Station, and others, will provide immediate medical aid to pilgrims.

Furthermore, an eight-bed temporary medical camp will be established at Pakka Ghat to cater to any medical emergencies. Ambulances will also be stationed at ten specific points within the fair area, ensuring swift responses to any accidents or medical emergencies.

These emergency response vehicles will be available at Pakka Ghat, Bandha Tiraha, Control Room, Saket Petrol Pump, Nageshwar Nath, Hanuman Garhi, Kanak Bhavan, Ram Janmabhoomi, Ayodhya Dham Railway Station, and Booth Number 4 throughout the event duration.
