Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte starrer Andhadhun is doing phenomenally well at the Chinese box-office. Released in China with the title Piano Player, on Thursday, added $ 1.21 million more to its kitty. After a 16-day run in cinemas, its total earning stands at Rs $ 35.51 million, which is equivalent to Rs 246.43 crore in Indian currency.

The Noted Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh summed up the film’s business in the East Asian country in a tweet posted on Friday. It read, “#AndhaDhun crosses $ 35 million in #China...Now fourth highest grossing *Indian film* in #China, after #Dangal, #SecretSuperstar and #BajrangiBhaijaan... [Week 2] Mon $ 1.47 mn, Tue $ 1.38 mn, Wed $ 1.29 mn, Thu $ 1.21 mn. Total: $ 35.51 mn [₹ 246.43 cr].” Looking at the current trend AndhaDhun will maintain a strong hold in the Chinese market for many days to come. In all likelihood, the film will enter the Rs 300 crore-club to become the fourth Indian film to do so after DangalSecret Superstar and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Sriram Raghavan  directorial had emerged a super hit. At the domestic box-office, the film had earned around Rs 75 crore, a significant feat for a film that catered to niche audiences and was devoid of a big star. Its success was attributed to glowing reviews and positive word of mouth.
