Rampur: SP leader and MLA Azam Khan,who was released from Sitapur jail in Uttar Pradesh after 27 months after getting interim bail from the Supreme Court, reached Rampur jail along with his son and Swar MLA son Abdullah Azam on Sunday. In this case, it is being told that Azam Khan has reached Rampur jail to know the movement of Samajwadi Party workers. Some sources say that the jailed SP supporters are said to be close to Azam Khan. In fact, Azam Khan, mla from Rampur, did not attend the party's legislature party meeting today. Along with him, his son and Swar MLA Abdullah Azam Khan also did not attend the party meeting.
However, on the other hand, Shivpal Singh Yadav also did not attend the SP meeting. During this time, sp MLA Azam Khan made a big statement while talking to the media. In fact, he said, 'My health is bad, in such a situation, if my health is good, I will stay in the House.' Because you have to take oath of the Assembly. Azam further said that I am not angry with anyone. Azam had reached his home district Rampur after being released from jail. Azam Khan said, "I am thankful to all those who prayed and sympathised for me... whether it is SP, BSP, Congress, TMC or even BJP, all parties need to think about the weak people.''
However, he had earlier thanked the Supreme Court and also mentioned the 27 months spent in jail. Many leaders including SP president Akhilesh Yadav, SP president Shivpal Singh Yadav, SP leader Naresh Uttam had expressed happiness over Azam's release from jail after two years. Shivpal Singh Yadav had also reached the jail to receive him. In fact, Azam was lodged in Sitapur jail in Rampur district in connection with several other cases, including land grabbing. There are about 90 cases against them. He has been granted bail in 88 cases. He has been in jail since February 2020.
