Rampur: Senior Samajwadi Party leader and controversial leader Azam Khan has accused the Uttar Pradesh government of ruining his Johar University to win the elections. In recent times, the UP government has instituted a series of investigations on the university. Illegal acquisition of land is being investigated in order to build a university. Azam Khan has won the Rampur Lok Sabha seat this time. A month later, on the occasion of Eid, Rampur MP Azam Khan offered Eid prayers.

Talking to the media afterward, he lashed out at the government. He said, "There is no case against him. All the cases are over the university and children's schools. Strictly said that you have to sweep your hands. You have to be enslaved. Who will let the pen come into your hands? Azam Khan explained why you complain to the non-people, ask your loved ones. In reply to a question, he said that you are not listening to the judgement of the court. It is not seen that the High Court is issuing notices to the DM and spin.

He accused the government of adopting all sorts of tactics to win by-elections. On possession of land, the Supreme Court has given 40 rulings in which after three years no one has the right to say that one is forcibly occupied. He said, why would the trust, which buys hundreds of acres of land, cheat the four bighas of land? Azam had been in a lot of controversies because of his statement in Parliament.
