Lucknow: Senior Samajwadi Party (SP) leader and Lok Sabha MP from Rampur Azam Khan is not well. Azam Khan has been admitted to Medanta Hospital in Lucknow for the past few days where he is undergoing treatment. Azam Khan's wife Tanzeem Fatima has informed about Azam's condition.

Talking to media persons, Tanzeem Fatima said that Azam Khan is in a very bad condition. He said many diseases and imprisonment have weakened them. The corona report is negative. The wife said Azam had an ulcer in his mouth, due to which he even can't eat. Also his lungs have infections and he has become extremely weak. Let us tell you that last month post covid fibrosis, cavity and chest infection were found in the lungs of the SP MP.

Earlier, Azam Khan and his son Abdullah were confirmed to be infected with corona virus in a RTPCR investigation on April 30. On May 2, the administration advised Azam Khan to take him to King George Medical College in Lucknow for better treatment, but he refused to leave Sitapur jail. However, he had agreed to come to Lucknow on May 9 after his health deteriorated.
