Karnataka: Yeddyurappa to be sworn in at 6 pm today, bjp to form new government

Bangalore: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is all set to form the government in Karnataka. BJP state unit president BS Yeddyurappa arrived at governor Vajubhai Wala at around 10 a.m. to stake claim to form the government in the state. He also appealed to the Governor to take oath of office today.

According to the information received, the swearing-in ceremony will be held at 6 pm today in which the new BJP government sworn in. B.S. Yeddyurappa as CM. After meeting the Governor, Yeddyurappa said, "I met the Governor to stake claim to form the government and take oath as CM. The Governor agrees and I have given him a letter. I will swear this evening at around 6-6.15 pm.

In Karnataka, the BJP has claimed to form the government for the fourth time. The BJP has also decided to take over the Assembly Speaker K.R. Ramesh Kumar has staked claim to disqualify three Congress MLAs for contempt of party whip and form the government three days after the collapse of the Congress-JD (Secular) coalition government on July 23.
