Babu Siddiqui arrested for ransacking Aligarh BJP office ahead of PM Modi's visit

Aligarh: The political mercury in Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh is rising steadily ahead of PM Narendra Modi's visit. Meanwhile, a case of sabotage of the BJP office in Aligarh has come to light. The BJP office of Minority Cell Metropolitan President Imran Saifi has been ransacked. People also tore up pictures of CM Yogi Adityanath and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.


Pm Modi is scheduled to visit Aligarh to lay the foundation stone of the State University in the name of King Mahendra Pratap in Lodha. Meanwhile, Babu Siddiqui, a resident of Bhujpura, along with his brother and some others reached the BJP office and assaulted party workers. The office was also threatened with a bomb blast. A police complaint has been lodged in this regard. CM Yogi's information advisor Shalabh Mani Tripathi tweeted, "Babu Siddiqui, the main accused in the act, has been caught, confused that he is in Bengal. Now confirmed he is in UP.''

The office that was ransacked was set up by Imran Saifi, the newly appointed chairman of the minority cell, on Thursday (September 9, 2021). Meanwhile, Babu Siddiqui and others reached there and said that the office will be bombed if the BJP meets here the next time. At the same time, the same kept in the office was also thrown here and there. Kotwali police reached the spot after receiving information but by then the attackers had fled.
