Fuel prices have been gradually increasing each day regardless of a cut in central excise duty last week. A number of states also cut on levies but a strong dollar and factors in the global market have resulted in the daily price change by oil companies continuing to witness a rising .

Earlier in the week, global credit ratings, research and risk analysis firm Moody`s Investors Service on Tuesday stated the current decrease in excise cuts on fuel prices will create material downside risks to the central government`s fiscal deficit objective.
