5 Indian soldiers martyred in encounter with terrorists

Srinagar: Terrorist terror activities have been going on in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for the past few days. There is also a continuous operation by the security forces to give a befitting reply to the terrorists. Meanwhile, another bad news came on Monday that four Army personnel and a JCO martyred in an encounter between security forces and militants in the Poonch district of Jammu.

The five jawans were reportedly badly injured during the encounter and were later martyred.  The militants were reportedly reported to be hiding in Chamarer forest in the Poonch district. The agencies had received input of infiltration of terrorists through Chamarer near Mughal Road. The security forces then launched an operation here. The encounter between security forces and terrorists has been going on since this morning.

According to reports, security forces have sealed the entire area and an encounter with the militants is continuing. Three to four terrorists are feared to be hiding in the forest. Four Army personnel and one JCO were badly injured during the encounter itself. They were admitted to the hospital but the jawans could not be rescued.
