Lucknow: The case of gang rape and murder of a woman in Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh is now taking political colour. The opposition party has also started to surround the state government on this issue. The Congress has attacked the Yogi government on Wednesday for the Badaun gang-rape. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi has taunted the claim made by the government in UP about women's safety.

Priyanka tweeted, "The government staff in Hathras did not initially listen to the complaint, the government rescued the officers and pressed the voice. The police station in Badaun did not listen to the complaint, did not even check the scene of the incident. There is a flaw in the intention of the UP government on women's safety. " The body of the woman has been recovered in a suspicious condition in a village in Ughaiti police station area. It is being told that the woman has been murdered after gang-raping her in a temple here. According to the post mortem report, the woman was gang-raped. A rod was inserted in her private part, which has badly affected the inner part. There are wound marks in many areas on the body and many bones have been broken.

Police have registered a case of murder after gang-raping three people, including the Mahant of the temple. Police has arrested two accused so far. Although the main accused is still absconding. In the case, the SSP has taken action and suspended the negligent police station. Four teams have been pressed into the search of the absconding accused.
