Due to Coronavirus, every region of the country has been greatly affected. Meanwhile, Indian player N Sikki Reddy and physiotherapist Kiran C, who arrived in Hyderabad to attend the national badminton camp at Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy, were found positive in the COVID-19 test.

According to a Sports Authority of India release, "Both Sikki and Kiran have no signs of COVID-19. Both are from Hyderabad and were participating in the camp. No symptoms have been found in both, although the academy has been closed for sanitization. The close contacts of both Sikki and Kiran have been identified, and their RT-PCR investigation is being done again".

The Sports Authority of India has made it mandatory for all players, coaches and support staff to arrive after the corona check, and both were found positive in the test. Chief National Badminton Coach Pullela Gopichand said, "All athletes, coaches, support staff and administrative staff at the Badminton National Camp have to undergo COVID-19 test by the Sports Authority of India". He also said, "As per protocol all necessary precautions have been taken so that the players can return to training safely at the earliest." Along with this, the players have been kept with complete security.
